Born in Athens, Kyriaki is a choreographer, dancer, licensed architect, set designer and educator whose practice intertwines a range of creative fields. She is a co-founder of GesamtAtelier, an interdisciplinary company with a body of work which involves the conception, design and realisation of dance performances, intermedia installations, site-specific performances , interactive audiovisual environments, most of them incorporating audience engagement. Her choreographic practice is equally aiming to embrace the triplet: four-dimensional space / movement / individual, along with the design of performative costumes, structures and installations.

In 2022, Kyriaki has co-directed and choreographed the intermedia dance piece “Loom”, a production of the Athens Concert Hall with the financial support of Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports. The augmented reality application “DanceWalk” was also financially supported and under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports(2021). Same public fund support was given to the dance research project “ArchiDance” (2021).

As a choreographer and/or set designer her work has been presented both in conventional theatre spaces as well as in unconventional performance venues and has been supported by institutions/venues such as: Architecture Center Vienna (AzW) MuseumsQuartier AU, Young Choreographers Session of Sasha Waltz  at Center for Arts and Media (ZKM) Karlsruhe DE, Whitechapel Gallery UK, Watermans Arts Centre UK, Centre for Dance Research (CDR) in Roehampton University UK, Déda Dance Centre UK, UK Young Artists National Festival 2016, Architectural Association UK, Βienalle Larnaca, Αthens Video Dance Project, Central Saint Martins London, Brighton University, Romantso Athens, INAW 4th Biennial of Interior design Krakow and TU Berlin.


Among others, she has been part of Sasha Waltz and Guests Dance Company, while performing in the production “Installations, Objects, Performances” at ZKM Karlsruhe.

In 2022 she has been selected from the Flux Laboratory Athens for a choreographic residency. She has been awarded the “i-portunus” fund by Creative Europe (2019) and the OneDanceUK Observership award to work with Humanhood Dance Company (2017).

In 2019 she co-curated with Argyris Angeli and produced the “Spatial Performance” festival at Romantso Athens in collaboration with the AAIS London.

She has been trained in dance at Greek National School of Dance (KSOT) and in architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (MSc) and TU Berlin, supported by the Greek State Scholarship Foundation (IKKY).  She has combined both disciplines by completing the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Spatial Performance and Design (distinction), with a double Architectural Association Bursary as an exceptional candidate.


She currently works as Studio Master at the Architectural Association Interprofessional Studio. She was a lecturer at the Architecture Department, University of East London. She has taught choreography, improvisation and intermedia composition at East London Dance and MA Mediated Choreography, University of Roehampton London. She also works as a set-designer in dance, theatre, opera productions as well as production director. 

She has collaborated as a costume designer with Anastasia Valsamaki for her piece “Disjoint” at Onassis Stegi. As a set designer, she has worked for 54’33’’ with Spyros Kouvaras and for the production “Anosis” multimedia installation by Georgia Tegou at Truman Brewery London. As set&costume designer she worked for: “Killing Games” Eugene Ionesco direct by Irini Adamou, “Vincent Rivel” Philip Ridley, direct by Alexandros Balamotis. She has worked as a set designer assistant for the operas: “Figaro’s Marriage”- Mozart, direct by Alexandros Efkleidis at the Greek National Opera. “Orpheus in the Underworld”- Jacques Offenbach directed by Isidoros Sideris at Olympia Theater, and for the theremin concert of May Roosvelt at Onassis Stegi.

She’s production co-ordinator at the Athens International Film Festival and the Athens Open Air Film Festival. For the period of 2019-2020 she has been selected by HIGGS for the annual seminar “design and strategy for NGO’s”
